Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi is the most preferred Nairobi Governor in 2022 according to a poll conducted by Mizani Africa.

The research showed that 37.2% of Nairobians will vote for the Westlands who is a brother to One Kenya Alliance Principal, Moses Wtangula if the 2022 General Election is held today.

The MP, who is a member of the ODM Party was closely followed by businesswoman and philanthropist Agnes Kagure, who is a marketing professional.

30.3% of Nairobians would vote for Agenss Kagure, who is closely followed by preacher Margaret Wanjiru.

15.7% of Nairobians will vote Wanjiru, who is a member of Deputy President William Ruto’s camp if elections are held today.

Trailing behind Margaret Wanjiru is Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja, who will get 6.3 percent of the votes.

Other gurbernatorial hopefuls ranked as follows;

William Kabogo – 5.8%

Anne Mwenda Kananu – 1.8%

Mike Sonko – 1.3%

Peter Kenneth – 1.1 %

Dennis Waweru – 0. 5%

The research further showed that residents of Westlands Constituency would also like to elect Tim Wanyonyi as their Member of Parliament once again.

At the constituency level, Tim Wanyonyi was leading with 52.2% of the residents saying they would vote for him once again.

He was followed by Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi, who would get 30.3% of the votes if the 2022 elections are held today.

In June, Tim denied reports that he will be contesting the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in 2022.

“I’m not concerned with others vying for the seat – it is their democratic right to vie for any seat including this one,

” I am still a member of parliament for Westlands and when elections are called, I will let you all know what I am vying for. But for now, I am focused on my current role” he said.
