Tiati MP William Kamket has sensationally claimed that Kanu chairman Gideon Moi will support ODM leader Raila Odinga in the 2022 General Elections.

Addressing Baringo residents on Friday, December 17, Kamket, a staunch defender of Baringo Senator Gideon Moi revealed that his party leader is in the One Kenya Alliance physically but his soul lies in the handshake wing.

The vocal legislator further revealed that the One Kenya Alliance principal instructed members of his party to turn out in large numbers on Friday, December 10, during Raila’s declaration at the Azimio la Umoja.

Tiati MP claims KANU will support Raila Odinga not OKA
Tiati MP William Kamket has sensationally claimed that Kanu chairman Gideon Moi will support ODM leader Raila Odinga in the 2022 General Elections.

“In national matters, we are in the KANU party, and in the KANU party we are behind Gideon Moi who has said we should stay within the Azimio la Umoja,” Kamket said.

Kanu supremo was the only OKA principal who attended Raila’s Azimio la Umoja at the Kasarani Stadium.

OKA Principals Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), and Moses Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya) all skipped the event where Raila declared that he will be giving a fifth stab at the presidency in next year’s General Election.

This comes barely days after COTU Secretary-General Francis Atwoli urged his Kanu party leader, Gideon Moi, to join ODM leader Raila Odinga in his bid to form the next government.

Speaking during Raila’s Azimio la Umoja event at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, on Friday, the vocal unionist thanked Baringo Senator for honoring Raila’s invite adding that he will not leave him under OKA.

“I thank my party leader Gideon Moi for coming here today… I guarantee we will not leave him in One Kenya Alliance. We will go with him to Baba (Raila Odinga),” Atwoli said.

“I want to assure you Raila that we won’t leave Gideon in Oka… Moi told us not to leave you behind. We will not leave you in Oka…We will not leave you in OKA,” he added.
