Former Thika town constituency MP Alice Wambui Ng’ang’a and Ruto’s ally has called on police officers to arrest anyone causing trouble during the Raila’s rally to be held in Thika town today.
Speaking to the press, on Friday, January 14, Wambui said that Thika town is a cosmopolitan town and every presidential hopeful is welcome to sell his agenda to the people of Thika.
Wambui, who is a parliamentary seat hopeful on a United Democratic Alliance, pointed out that Kenya has matured politically and that leaders are free to campaign in any part of the country.
“Everyone attending the event should be peaceful and should endeavor to preach the same. We want everyone in our politically matured country to be given a platform to campaign in any part of the region without fear,” said Wambui.
The Former MP, at the same time, called on her supporters to attend the Raila rally but requested them to maintain peace.
She revealed that she had reached out police and administration officials to and conducting surveillance in the constituency to ensure that the ends with zero forms of violence.

Raila is expected today Saturday, January 15 to hit the campaign trail for his August 2022 presidential bid with the first mega rally in Thika town Kiambu County.
The rally will have a lot of political ramification bearing in mind that its the home county of his handshake partner President Uhuru Kenyatta.
It has been said in some quarters that Uhuru is rooting for Raila’s presidency after breaking ranks with his deputy William Ruto.
Mt. Kenya politics is expected to dominate the event as the regions heavyweight throw their support to Azimio La Umoja.
