Aden Duale criticises Uhuru’s plan to solve Raila, Kalonzo, Mudavadi issues

Garissa Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale has been shocked by President Uhuru Kenyatta’s continued efforts at reviving the National Super Alliance (NASA) when his own party is in shambles.

This comes just a day after the Head of State reportedly held talks with NASA principals Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka.

On Friday, July 9, the former National Assembly majority leader took to social media accusing Uhuru of abandoning matters of great national importance and focusing on non-issues- like trying to prevent NASA from falling apart.

“We elected the president with the largest majority in parliament to run the affairs of the government. NASA should not misuse the president to clean their political mess while his own jubilee is in tatters,” Duale said in a Tweet.

The coalition brought together Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, and Raila Odinga.

It was Jubilee Party’s main challenger in the 2017 General Election.

Duale was responding to newspaper reports which suggested Uhuru Kenyatta has reached out to former NASA bigwigs, particularly Kalonzo Musyoka and Raila Odinga to prevent them from falling out ahead of the 2022 General Election.

As if that is not enough, the Jubilee party is also in the process of inking a working arrangement with Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Party.

All indications are the Jubilee Party, a giant and dominant player in the 2017 General Election, is nothing but a shadow of its former self.

The party has been receiving criticism from most of its former stalwarts in the manner in which it has been conducting its business.

Aden Duale was once a fierce defender of the party and Uhuru Kenyatta regime but he is among the casualties of Uhuru-Raila famous handshake which has since claimed many political friends of deputy president William Ruto.

Even then, the Jubilee party continues to lose most of its supporters even in Central Kenya where the party leader, Uhuru Kenyatta hails from.

Suna East MP Junet Mohammed told off Duale saying the Head of State has to move on just as they moved on when they switched their allegiance from Kielweke to Hustler nation.

“Leader, the president has moved on the same way you have moved on to UDA. Why do you want to leave him behind to clean the mess you left in jubilee?” Junet posed.
