Ahmednassir on why Anne Waiguru will easily win Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat

by Enock Ndayala

Outspoken city lawyer, Ahmednasir Abdullahi has sensationally claimed that Governor Anne Waiguru will easily win the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat in the 2022 elections.

The Senior Counsel made the remarks a few hours after kirinyaga Woman Rep Purity Ngirici officially announced that she has dumped UDA, a party heavily associated with Deputy President William Ruto.

In a statement posted on his Twitter, Abdullahi, popularly known as the Grand Mulla said the exit of Wangui Ngirici from William Ruto’s party will boost chances of Anne Waiguru’s re-election.

Outspoken city lawyer, Ahmednasir Abdullahi has sensationally claimed that Governor Anne Waiguru will easily win the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat in the 2022 elections.

He also argued that the incumbent would easily retain her seat because Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua who had vowed to give Waiguru a run for his money could likely be picked as a presidential running mate to one of the presidential front runners.

“I think she (Wangui Ngirici) has given the seat of Governor of Kirinyaga to Waiguru on a silver platter! Since Martha Karua is expected to Hon Raila’s running mate…then is Waiguru coming back unopposed,” he said.

On Thursday, December 30, Ngirici who had hinted at ditching William Ruto’s party ahead of the 2022 General Election set the record clear that she will not be seeking the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat on a UDA ticket.

Ngirici stated that she was unhappy with the way UDA officials were treating her even after investing heavily in the party.

Wangui who spoke in Gakuyu on Wednesday, December 29, accused UDA officials of favoring her opponents particularly Governor Anne Waiguru a clear indication that would be rigged out at the primaries.

“When I appeared at the headquarters, the officials tried to convince me to give up my gubernatorial ambitions and vie for the Mwea parliamentary seat on a UDA ticket. I refused, as they were determined to kill my dream,” Ngirici said.
