In August 2021, the then Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua parted ways with his second wife Lilian Ng’ang’a.

The two, who had been married for about five years, took to their various social media platforms to officially announce the end of their matrimonial union.

Months later, Lilian announced that she was dating musician Julius Owino alias Juliani, a relationship that saw them formalize their union at a private venue in Nairobi, earlier this year.

On Friday, September 9, the Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader revealed that he was ready to embark on another relationship should the other party be genuine.

“I’m meeting interesting people. I’m not lonely at all,” Alfred Mutua said in a clear indication that he was dating.

The former county boss however did not reveal who the person he was dating was adding that for now, he is currently focused on raising his children.

In April 2021, the politician who served two-ten year terms at the helm of Machakos County left tongues wagging after posting a photo of a lady online in what many suspected Mutua had found a perfect replacement to former Machakos first lady Lilian Ng’ang’a.

A sport check by Kivumbi.co.ke later established that the lady to be Evelyn Kavuu, the Machakos county government official working as the CECM for Energy, Lands, and Urban Development.

While announcing their breakup, Lilian Ng’ang’a said that the two agreed amicably to part ways but would forever remain friends.

“Winds of change blew my way and two months ago, I decided to end my long-term relationship with Alfred Mutua. We had a good run and I am forever grateful to God he brought us together. We remain friends,” Lilian posted on Instagram.

With this, she said, “I put down the Machakos first lady cap and what an honor it has been to be of service I will continue to do projects close to my heart, charity work through the Lilian Nganga Foundation.”
