Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has dismissed Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s claims that Kambas are cowards.

Alfred Mutua is a Kenyan politician serving his second term as Machakos county Governor.

Mutua was a government spokesperson and public communications secretary from 2004 to September 2012 when he resigned to venture into politics.

On August 22, 1970, Alfred was born in Masii, a remote part of Machakos county in the former Eastern province. He is 51 years old.

Alfred Education

Mutua Alfred began his education at Toi Primary school in Kibera slums before joining Dagoretti High School for his O’ levels and Jamhuri High School for his A levels.

Mutua proceeded to Whitworth College, the USA, graduating with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism.

He holds a master of science degree in communications from Eastern Washington University, the USA, and a doctorate in communication and media from the University of Western Sydney, Australia.

Lilian Ng’ang’a, born on June 22, 1985, was Alfred Mutua’s second wife until Sunday, August 15, 2021, when the power couple officially parted ways after more than a decade of romance.

The duo released separate statements on their social media accounts confirming a mutual end to their relationship.

Lilian was the first to announce the end of their relationship, stating that even though they agreed to break up, they would remain friends.

“We had a good run and I am forever grateful to God he brought us together. We remain friends,” part of the statement on her Instagram handle read.

The beautiful woman said she would cease to be Machakos county first lady but would continue with charity projects under the Lilian Ng’ang’a Foundation.

Mutua Alfred later shared a statement on his social media pages praising Lilian as an excellent first lady who would remain his close adviser.

“I trust her sharp insight and heart. She has always been my number one fan. Our love for each other is permanent but I think at times, space and new directions are important,” he said.

The couple owned multi-million businesses, including the famous A&L Hotel in the outskirts of Machakos town.

During Mutua’s first term in office, he never shied away from proclaiming his love for Lilian as they held public events together.

Lilian Ng’ang’a has since moved on with her life and declared her love for rapper Juliani (Julius Owino).

The two lovebirds had been photographed hanging out together, fuelling rumours they were dating.

While confirming their fling, Lilian dismissed critics asking netizens to respect her choice.

Alfred said he had received suggestive messages from single ladies ‘thirsting’ for him.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader revealed women had camped in his DM since he confirmed his break up with the beauty.

Alfred Mutua First Wife

Before Alfred set his eyes on Lilian Ng’ang’a, he was married to Josephine Thitu, a pharmaceuticals services systems specialist.

Josephine Thitu graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor of pharmacy and a master of public health.

Thitu, the founding director of Machakos Women Foundation, bagged her doctor of pharmacy from Purdue University, Indiana, USA, in 2006.

The two tied the knot at Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong Road on July 1, 2000. They were blessed with three children.

After over a decade in a blissful relationship, things went south, leading to a bitter divorce on August 19, 2015.

Alfred Mutua and Josephine Thitu engaged in wrangles over their multi-million property and custody of their children, which she won in court.
