Political Analyst Herman Manyora has advised ODM leader Raila Odinga to focus on 2shift attention from trying to sell his presidential ambition like Ruto and instead cut his own style.

In an in-depth analysis on his YouTube channel, the political analyst told Raila to stop trying to counter Ruto’s arguments and instead focus on politics and selling himself in a way that resonates with Kenyans

“Play politics, and do not follow (Deputy President William) Ruto where he is going. Leave other people to talk about his bottom-up economic model,

“Do not follow William Ruto on matters of economic policies, never ever talk about economic politics. Leave it to your boys… Tell people the difference a Raila presidency will bring and let the difference resonate with the people,” Herman Manyora advised.

The analyst says that Raila Odinga should only focus on giving Kenyans hope about what his presidency would bring, and just ignore William Ruto.

Should Raila Odinga focus on countering William Ruto, Manyora argues the former Prime Minister shall fail flat.

In the segment, Herman Manyora also advised the members of One Kenya Alliance to join forces with Raila Odinga, because they can not handle William Ruto on their own.

“Mudavadi, Kalonzo, Wetangula and Gideon will see sense. That without working together they stand no chance against William Ruto. Ruto is not a walkover, he is a tough politician,” he said.

Raila Odinga has been among political opponents openly criticizing William Ruto’s bottom-up economic model which is at the center of the deputy president’s 2022 presidential election promise..

In certain instances, the former Prime Minister has exchanged verbal barbs with DP Ruto, where he has accused him of plundering the Kenyan economy.

According to Raila, Ruto is promising to offer economic solutions to Kenyans once elected president, yet he has been part of the financial problems in the country.

“They are hyenas. You see them come here in sheep’s clothing and claim they will fundraise for women and youth groups. That is stolen money. The people busy going around the country in choppers dishing out money should be in Shimo la Tewa,” Raila said in an indirect attack against Ruto.

In response to the accusations, WIlliam Ruto equally termed Raila as a ‘thief.’

“When they were in government, they stole from the youth. Now they are back in government and are using cartels to steal from patients like in the case of Covid-19 billionaires,” he said.
