Waiguru: Mudavadi, Ruto partnership will solve Kenya’s problem

by Amos Khaemba

Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru is optimistic the political partnership between Deputy President William Ruto and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi will transform the country.

Taking to social media after the Bomas of Kenya ‘earthquake’ event, Waiguru was confident the new partnership will form a formidable coalition ahead of the August 9 election.

“The UDA party partnered with ANC and Ford Kenya party, to form a formidable coalition that will bring 2022 presidency home! With our partners on board, there is no doubt that the 5th president will be William Ruto,” Waiguru wrote on her Facebook page.

The Kirinyaga Governor was upbeat that the economic models of UDA and ANC, if well implemented, will bring the desired economic changes in the country.

“We have also looked inwards, identified the problems, and came up with a solution! With our bottom-up economic model, and ANC’s Uchumi Bora there is no challenge that’s insurmountable,” she added.

Many leaders who spoke at the Bomas of Kenya during Mudavadi’s ‘earthquake’ meeting were of the same opinion that UDA and ANC manifestos are intertwined.

On the other hand, Garissa Township MP Aden Duale was quick to correct Waiguru’s assertion that Ruto needed only the Mt Kenya, Western, and Rift Valley votes to win the August presidential election.

“It is not only the votes of Mt. Kenya and Western provinces that count. Every vote counts. We are with Musalia since you have told the truth,” Duale said.

Deputy President William Ruto has moved fast to formalize the partnership, as the UDA parliamentary group meeting endorsed the partnership of UDA, ANC, and Ford Kenya.

“Chaired the UDA parliamentary group meeting at the Karen residence attended by more than 10 governors and over 140 MPs; endorsed the new working partnership with ANC, Ford Kenya, and other political formations in the country,” Ruto said on his Twitter handle.
