Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has been captured in a viral video coaching youths ahead of the highly anticipated rally by Deputy President William Ruto and his newfound political partners tomorrow, Saturday, January 29.

In the trending video, Waiguru is heard telling youths how to respond to various clarion calls, including one which heaps praise on her.

” Harambee”! Waiguru says. To which the youths respond.

“Kenya Kwanza… Kazi ni Kazi. Bottom-up. Uchumi bora. Pesa mfukoni. Kura Kwa William Ruto,”

It is worth noting, Kenya Kwanza is the proposed name of the impending coalition encampusing William Ruto, Moses Wetangula, and Musalia Mudavadi.

Some Kenyans took to social media accusing the governor of paying youths to attend the rally.

“There is nothing voluntary about United Democratic Alliance (UDA). UDA rallies are choreographed movie productions. There is no spontaneity in them. It is all fake,” One Kenyan tweeted.

Deputy President William Ruto is expected to hold his the first rally in the Mt. Kenya region with his new Kenya Kwanza political allies.

Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula are expected in the vote-rich region to drum up support for their new partnership.

DP Ruto and his new political allies held their first rally in Nakuru where they were upbeat about winning the forthcoming August 9, presidential election.

The rally will go ahead even after Waiguru was denied a permit to host tit at the newly constructed Wang’uru stadium.

Yesterday, Thursday, January 28, the outspoken governor hit out at Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho accusing him of trying to sabotage the UDA rally.

The governor had accused the government of denying them the use of the stadium claiming it is under construction.

“We are very shocked as leaders from Kirinyaga county having been denied a permit to hold the rally for Deputy President in Wang’uru stadium despite the fact that’s where Mashujaa day was, despite the fact PS Kibicho has been using it for public meetings,” Waiguru had said.
