Anne Waiguru welcomes Cate Waruguru to UDA 2 years after she insulted her

by Enock Ndayala

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru on Tuesday, November 23, welcomed Laikipia Woman Rep Cate Waruguru to the hustler nation.

This happens exactly two years after Waruguru hurled unsavory sentiments to Governor Ann Waiguru saying she is yet to give birth even after her much-publicized wedding to lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo.

In November 2019, Waruguru appeared outraged at Governor Waiguru’s move to drum up support for ODM candidate for Kibra parliamentary by-election Imran Okoth yet she was elected on a Jubilee party ticket.

On that day, Waruguru told Waiguru to concentrate on her marriage and even get pregant instead od focusing on selling the doomed Bulding Bridged Iniative.

“There is a woman who was recently married. She has not even had her first pregnancy yet but thinks she will birth us the Building Bridges Initiative,” she said witout directly mentioning Wiaguru.

But taking to social media pages on Tuesday November 23, Waiguru welcomed Waruguru to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in a classic representation of the saying, ‘there are no permanent enemies in politics, only interests.’

“Karibu (welcome) my sister Cate Waruguru to the Hustlers Nation!  We are waiting for the many others still behind the tent,” Governor Waiguru said in a Tweet.

On Tuesday, November 23, the deputy president officially received Waruguru weeks after she decamped back to the UDA at his official residence in Karen.

This came barely months after Waruguru in July 2021 hinted on re-joining William Ruto’s camp stating that the former Agriculture Minister was the man to beat in the 2022 General Election.

The presidential hopeful was accompanied by Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa, Governor Anne Waiguru, MP Gathoni Wa Muchomba, Didmas Barasa, and Oscar Sudi among others.

“Welcome back home Cate Waruguru,” tweeted Deputy President William Ruto.

On her part, Waruguru also shared photos from her reunion with Hustler Nation, stating that ‘mpango ni bottom up’.

“Purpose leads a true leader and a true leader leads others,” shared Kate Waruguru.
