Azimio coalition party sure Raila will win presidency by historic 15 million votes

Deputy President William Ruto and Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition flag bearer Raila Odinga are perceived to be the front runners in the hotly anticipated presidential contest.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has gazetted the voter register in preparations for the August 9, General Election where more than 22 million voters are expected to vote.

An analysis of the registered voters on Friday, June 24, gave the Kenya Kwanza supremo William Ruto an upper hand in the quest to become the next tenant of the house on the hill.

In a move to ensure that the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition forms the next government, the coalition met at the KICC where it reviewed the formulation and policy regarding the party’s ongoing campaign preparations for the polls.

The Azimio la Umoja Presidential Secretariat exuded confidence that it will beat its rival William Ruto of the Kenya Kwanza alliance with over 15 million votes.

“Victory for the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Presidential Candidate with over 15,000,000 votes,” the council said in a statement.

The Azimio la Umoja Presidential Secretariat was further directed to interrogate the recently gazetted 2022 voters register that appeared to favor their main challenger William Ruto and report back to the coalition council next week for consideration.

“Noted that the 2022 voters register had now been published in the Kenya Gazette and directed the National Coalition Executive Committee together with the Presidential Campaign Secretariat to interrogate the data further and report their observations back to the council,” reads the minutes.

According to the IEBC register, the former Eldoret North MP has not only tried to ring-fence President Uhuru’s vote basket but has also eaten a large junk of the ODM leader’s strongholds.

Just like the Mt Kenya region, the 2022 presidential front runner William Ruto has also turned the Western region that has traditionally voted for Raila into a battleground.
