Boni Khalwale: We shall deliver 95% Western votes to William Ruto

On Tuesday, November Salah Yakub alleged that the UDA party was planning to table a constitutional amendment Bill to remove the presidential term limit.

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has claimed that Western Kenya will vote in large numbers for Deputy President William Ruto in the forthcoming August 9 General Election.

Taking to Twitter to celebrate the union of DP Ruto and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Khalwale said the Luhya community will deliver over 95% of votes to DP Ruto.

“Thank God the stars are now fully aligned. Just like we combined in 2017 to deliver a 95.4% Western Presidential vote for NASA, so shall we for the William Ruto at this year’s election. The journey has begun,” Khalwale said.

The Khalwale predictions as the new partnership head to Nakuru for the inaugural public rally which will be attended by DP William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wetangula.

The western region has always voted for Raila Odinga with a consistency of over 60 percent of the votes.

The move by Deputy President William Ruto to close ranks with ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula will tilt the Raila traditional base.

“We are going to raise the bar and standards of the leadership so that deceit and conmanship doesn’t become part of the equation of leadership in Kenya,” Ruto said at Bomas during Musalia Mudavadi’s presidential launch.

Political analysts have opined that the new partnership between UDA, ANC, and Ford Kenya has complicated arithmetic for ODM leader Raila Odinga.

As DP Ruto banks on Mudavadi and Wetangula to deliver the Luhya votes, the ODM leader is trusting that Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya and Eugene Wamalwa will the votes.

Eugene Wamalwa and his allies laughed off Musadavadi’s latest moving saying it wont guarantee William Ruto votes.

They instisted that the Mulembe nation will remain behind the Azimio la Umoja under Raila Odinga
