City lawyer Danston Omari has advised Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition captain Raila Odinga to tap into the leadership skills of the youthful politicians if he wants to succeed in parliamentary leadership.

Raila’s allies were floored in major parliamentary jobs in both the Senate and the National Assembly.

The political analysts said it was high time Raila emulates the Kenya Kwanza Alliance which has benefited a lot from the young politicians.

“A generational transition has happened and you can see it from the Kenya Kwanza. From the president, it is down all over,

“Raila should now understand that he needs to propel young leaders to take over leadership. He cannot always be bringing the same people that make him fail in every election,” he said.

The high-flying advocate who was speaking to K24 TV on Monday, September 26, told Raila to stop clinging to the old and experienced politicians who have made him lose the presidency for a record fifth time.

“ODM is still clinging on very old people, very experienced people but who do not have the experience these young people are using,” he noted.

Omari was reacting to Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina who had demanded the ODM party reward them for their loyalty and support in the campaigns during the August 9 elections.

The duo opined that they had been loyal to the former prime minister, Raila Odinga, and his party over the years and were yet to be recognized for their allegiance.

“I concur with Babu Owino and Ledama Ole Kina that it is now time new blood is given power,” he added.

However, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna downplayed the recent rebellion by the two youthful politicians who had accused the Orange party of shortchanging them in sharing of positions.
