DP Gachagua asks singer Samidoh to tame his wives or be disciplined

by Enock Ndayala

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has, light-heartedly, asked Mugithi singer Samidoh to control his wives in public.

Speaking during the burial of Pauline Nyokabi, sister to Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, the second in command said Samidoh was becoming an embarrassment to the community instead of a role model.

“Wewe sasa Samidoh unajua tunakupenda lakini kuna mahali unatuangusha kidogo. Samidoh, u control hii watu yako… Hakuna ndovu hushindwa na pembe zake…” Gachagua said.

The former Mathira Member of Parliament further threatened to take disciplinary actions against the singer if he could not put his house in order.

The DP further warned Samidoh, who doubles as an administration police officer, that the government would limit his travel abroad or prevent him from going alone.

“Samidoh, you know how we love you and your songs. Don’t take your family affairs abroad. We don’t want foreigners to know so much about us,

“We will discipline you. We will not allow you to go overseas or we will limit you to going alone,” the DP added.

Gachagua’s sentiments come barely a month after Mugithi singer Samidoh, his wife Edday Nderitu, and baby mama Karen Nyamu tussled in public.

According to a clip that surfaced online on December 16, 2022, a video of an altercation between Samidoh, his wife Nderitu, and Nyamu surfaced online.

In the video, the drama began when Nyamu was taken off stage during the artist’s live performance.

The event attracted uproar with President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance, (UDA) Party, a political outfit of which Karen Nyamu is a member, suggesting disciplinary action.

Nyamu was summoned by the UDA party Disciplinary Committee. She appeared before the committee on January 20, 2023, but was allowed more time to respond to the accusations leveled against her.
