Gachagua affirmed that indeed, the cost of living has gone up and asked men to try their best and ensure women style their hair.

“Women should only cover their heads during religious ceremonies in church… On other occasions they should be pampered, put in hair dryers, and style their hair,” he said.

He challenged men to revisit the old times when they would give their women money and not ask what they needed it for.

“We like to see women glowing… as a man you should give your woman some money without asking too many questions,” Gachagua said.

Gachagua also advised young men hoping to start a family to look for partners who are calm.

The deputy president who is known to be a truthful man urged women to emulate his wife Pastor Dorcas Rigathi who is not too demanding.

He said that despite being the wife to the deputy president, Gachagus gives his wife KSh 3,000 per month to do hair and she is content with what she is given.

“Look at Pastor Dorcas, I have done my part… it is also important to look for a calm woman. I am so lucky I married a pastor who does not have so many needs. I give her KSh 3000 and she is content,” Gachagua said.
