Edward Kisiang’ani: ODM’s strategy of attacking William Ruto has failed

by Enock Ndayala

Political analyst Edward Kisiang’ani has advised Raila Odinga’s party to adopt an alternative manifesto ahead of the 2022 elections saying that ODM’s strategy of attacking Deputy President William Ruto has failed.

Kisiang’ani who is also a member of DP Ruto’s think tank further accused the ODM and Wiper parties of peddling lies about William Ruto, terming it a ‘tired strategy.’

“The ODM manifesto for 2022 Presidential polls is to attack and peddle lies about DP Ruto. Kalonzo Musyoka and his Wiper team have a manifesto to stop DP Ruto. Kenyans can’t invest in such manifestoes. We shall only listen to economic agendas that empower the people,

“Anybody seated near these ODM fellows? Kindly advise them. Their political strategy of attacking DP Ruto has failed. They are talking to themselves. They will not beat Ruto by this tired strategy. Kenyans know where the truth lies and who they will hire as their next CEO (president),” Kisiang’ani said in a Tweet seen by Kivumbi.co.ke.

This statement comes after Raila Odinga’s allies over the weekend vowed to work round the clock to make sure DP William Ruto does not succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in August 2022.

Led by Central Organization for Trade Union (COTU) boss Francis Atwoli and Siaya Senator James Orengo, Raila’s foot soldiers said they have banked on political strategies that will ensure that the former Prime Minister will succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“We will stop him. We cannot gamble with politics. You cannot tell people to embrace wheelbarrows,” Francis Atwoli said.

In June, Edward Kisianga’ni argued that Raila Odinga will be the weakest presidential candidate for the 2022 race for State House.

“Sometimes truth is unpleasant but we have to live with it. I have for some time followed Raila Odinga’s political career,

“In terms of political appeal, Kenya experienced the strongest Raila Odinga in 2007. But if he vies in 2022, we shall experience the weakest Raila ever,” Kisiang’ani said.
