Eldoret hustler gifts President Ruto prime land for defeating Raila

Former Agriculture Minister William Ruto defeated his main competitor Raila Odinga in the August 9, presidential election.

President Ruto’s bitter rival Raila Odinga had the support of now retired President Uhuru Kenyatta and the “deep state.”

However, the former deputy president garnered 7.1 million votes against Raila’s 6.9 million votes to be declared the winner.

A 37-year-old man gifted his family land to the former Eldoret North MP as a thanksgiving for defeating the “dynasties”.

Kimutai Choge, a motivational speaker handed over the title deed of the said land to local authorities to complete the transfer and register it under President Ruto’s name.

Kimutai, an ardent supporter of the First in command the president set up a youth empowerment and resource centre to be used as an excellent rehabilitation facility.

The half-acre prime plot, located on the Eldoret-Kapsabet highway in Nandi county, sits a few kilometres from Koitalel Samoei University College near Mosoriot and about 300 metres from the main road.

“The best way to celebrate President Ruto’s victory is to give out my family land for the construction of a youth training centre to nurture talent and inspire discouraged youths and mentor those struggling with drug abuse,” Kimtai said.

Local reports confirm that already dialogues have commenced between Kimtai and the office of the president over the same.

Emgwen National Government Constituency Development Fund, led by Henry Rono confirmed the gift saying it will not only cut costs for youth by hiring halls for meetings but will also train up to 400 youths from across the country.

Ruto was sworn in as the fifth Head of State on Teusday, September 13, after the seven judges of the Supreme Court dismissed a presidential petition filed by Raila Odinga challenging the presidential results announced by IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati.
