by Enock Ndayala

Outspoken Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has left Kenyans talking after sharing a clip of him piloting a plane through the skies.

The lawmaker on Wednesday, February 23, took to Twitter with a video saying he is enroot home after a series of Azimio la Umoja rallies at the Kenyan coast.

“Flying back to the Embakasi East Republic with my passengers after a series of successful Rallies with Baba (Raila Odinga) at the coast,” the legislator captioned his video.

Outspoken Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has left Kenyans talking after sharing a clip of him piloting a plane through the skies.

While the legislator said he was flying his passengers, it is not possible to see the people he purported to be flying nor the type of plane although the MP looked excited and focused on guiding the plane through the skies

It is not clear if the MP has a flying license or whether he has ever attended aviation classes, what is clear though is that Babu Owino has several degrees from the University of Nairobi.

Owino, who is considered as one of the wealthiest young politicians in Kenya, got a first-class honors degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi (UoN) before enrolling for a bachelor of law at the same institution.

While some of his followers lauded his ability to control the plane despite not being sure whether the legislator attended an aviation class, others said that Babu was endangering his life and that of his passengers.

In 2020, the youthful lawmaker was acknowledged for offering online solutions to students during the Covid-19 period.

Owino embarked on offering mathematics and science-related lessons to students in 2020, a time schools were closed in Kenya for more than six months.

Babu took the learners through topics regarded by learners as “hard” including differentiation, calculus, integration, and trigonometry.
