Former Sports CS Rashid Echesa has called out ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi for attacking ODM leader Raila Odinga.

While saying that Mudavadi’s recent move of locking out the former Prime Minister Raila Oginga from touring the Western region would lead to chaos, Echesa accused the One Kenya Alliance co-principal of fueling ethnicity instead of vouching for the unity of the Nation.

Former Sports CS Rashid Echesa has criticized ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi for attacking ODM leader Raila Odinga.

“I want to tell my brother Musalia (Mudavadi), you want to be the leader of the country of Kenya, and you cannot lead the country while you are fighting your community and other communities,” Echesa said.

He said Mudavadi’s personal differences with Raila should not be extended to regional rivalry urging the presidential hopeful to emulate him.

“I have had my political rhetoric with Raila but I will never tell him that you will never trample on Western Province and Raila Himself has not told me that I will not trample Nyanza,” he said.

On Monday, December 27, Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula said they will not attend the Luyha unity forum in Bukhungu Stadium set to instill Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya as the Luhya spokesperson.

Mudavadi without mentioning names hit out at Raila for bankrolling the meeting stating that it is meant to declare the support for ODM leader Raila Odinga’s presidential bid.

“We must observe democracy. We don’t want to hear that there is a meeting where someone who is not seeking any political seek comes up and says now I want to determine who shall be the MP is what constituency, who shall be the MCA, who shall be the governor in which county, who shall be the women rep, who shall be the senator and who shall be the President in this country, No.” Mudavadi said.
