“Having been a defense minister, I had about four security officers. Three were withdrawn by the day I was seen in Kibra. The only police officer attached to me was also withdrawn,” he said.

He condemned the alleged raid by police on former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i stating that President William Ruto‘s Kenya Kwanza administration could be cracking down on the CSs and other high-ranking officers who served in the final phase of former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s tenure.

He faulted the officers for breaching the privacy of Matiang’i, adding that the raid was suspicious given the time it was undertaken.

Wamalwa, who is associated with the DAP-K party further thanked Azimio leader Raila Odinga for being physically present to defend Matiang’i.

As such, he has asked Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leader Raila Odinga to start familiarizing himself with his home saying that he might be the next patient.

“You have heard what happened to my brother Matiang’i last night. And Baba, we must really thank you for being there for him. In fact, I want after we finish, I want you to know about my house in case it happens to me as well. Because I’m told there is a list,” said Wamalwa.
