Ex-MP Kipruto Arap Kirwa warns President Ruto against underestimating Raila

Azimio la Umoja one Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga on Thursday, March 10, announced the beginning of countrywide mass protests against the Kenya Kwanza government.

Raila made the directive after the lapse of the 14-day ultimatum he issued to Kenya’s President William Ruto to expedite the opening of the 2022 presidential election servers and address the high cost of living.

“Take note that on the 20th of March 2023, we have a date with destiny in Nairobi. On that day our supporters throughout the country shall stage a massive procession in Nairobi for a legitimate and inclusive government. Save the date,” Raila said.

Azimio la Umoja one Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga on Thursday, March 10, announced the beginning of countrywide mass protests against the Kenya Kwanza government.

However, the Kenya Kwanza government appears not to be worried by Raila’s threats and has since vowed to deal with the former Prime Minister.

But speaking during an interview on KTN News, former UDA vice-chairman Kipruto Arap Kirwa on Friday, March 10, warned the Head of State against underestimating Raila.

The former legislator said Raila is capable of doing anything that will make Ruto the first sitting president to be a one-term president.

Kirwa said Raila will destroy President William Ruto just like he destroyed the country’s oldest party KANU.

“Don’t underestimate Raila. Raila is capable of doing anything that in the next five years, he might decide I am not running in 2027 but anyone he endorses will be the president,”

“You know what happened in Kasarani… Jogoo was destroyed by the tractor because the tractor could not fit into the jogoo. The jogoo was destroyed we moved and Raila formed the LDP … and jogoo became the opposition that it is and diminished on the political landscape,” Kirwa said.
