Ford Kenya party officials’ strong warning to CS Eugene Wamalwa

by Enock Ndayala

Ford Kenya party officials have warned Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa against meddling in Bungoma politics.

This come after CS Wamalwa publicly called out the One Kenya Alliance co-principal Moses Wetang’ula and his ANC counterpart Musalia Mudavadi for their reluctance to support ODM leader Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja campaign.

But Ford Kenya leader led by Kabuchai MP Majimbo Kalasinga urged Wamalwa to leave Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula alone and direct the energy in popularising his new political party – the DAP Kenya.

Ford Kenya party officials have warned Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa against meddling in Bungoma politics.

“Whenever you open your mouth you always talk about Moses Wetang’ula. What is wrong with you? Moses is not in your party, he is Ford Kenya’s leader and he has been politics ahead of you,

“He is ahead of you in age, in the legal, field, and in all political areas. Respect Wetang’ula because he worked for your late brother Kijana Wamalwa,” Kalasinga said.

Kalasinga’s sentiments were echoed by Bungoma National Assembly Majority leader and MCA Joseph Nyongesa who accused Wamalwa of working Day and night to bring down their own.

Nyongesa said the recent move by Defence CS to host the launching of DAP-K Party in Bungoma instead of Trans Nzoia was technically meant to whitewash Ford Kenya’s popularity adding that his ill motive will flop.

“In Bungoma, we are settled on a party. Ford Kenya is here and it is spreading everywhere. We want to tell you to stop using candidates even in Trans Nzoia County. Run yourself, so that we can dissolve you from where you come from.”

Speaking on December 14, 2021, during the launch of the DAP-K party, CS Wamalwa called out Wetangula and Mudavadi for their reluctance to support ODM leader Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja campaign.

“It is their democratic right to be in OKA but I want to tell Musalia and Wetangula that if they continue to remain out there, they will remain out of government,” Wamalwa said then.
