“Norman(Magaya) is a very famous name. He said before they wind up NASA, they might wind him up as well,

“Norman, thank you so much for joining Wiper (Democratic Party). He is going to work closely with the party leader going forward,” Kalonzo said while announcing the changes in his team.

Sources privy to the Magaya’s onboarding also revealed that Norman Magaya will be advising Kalonzo on coalition building and management ahead of the 2022 General Election.

The former NASA CEO joins Kalonzo’s camp after a fall out with Raila Odinga’s team.

His strained relationship with Odinga began after the 2017 General Election when he collapsed during the vote tallying at Bomas of Kenya.

Norman then suffered a moment of being sick, and it is then that he fell out with the ODM leader and his team on claims that they had neglected him at his hour of need.

Apart from joining Kalonzo Musyoka’s camp, Norman Magaya had also tried applying to be a commissioner of the Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission, IEBC.

However, Norman’s entry into Kalonzo’s camp has attracted reactions from the ODM brigade.

ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna sarcastically congratulated Magaya, saying he will be a good addition to what he described as a less serious Wiper party.

“I’m very happy that my brother Norman Magaya has found a new Political home. You can trust Norman to inject some level of seriousness into that outfit. All the best from your fellow “Raila Man”, Edwin Sifuna wrote in a tweet.
