Other than the security threat, the COTU Boss also said that the Hustler narrative that DP Ruto is spreading is a dangerous one.

President Uhuru Kenyatta was on Monday, February 7, left in stitches after COTU boss Francis Atwoli insulted Deputy President William Ruto.

The vocal unionist who was speaking during the rollout of the Universal Health Coverage programme at Port Reitz Sub County Hospital in Mombasa said William Ruto will not succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta who is expected to retire in August 9.

While exuding confidence that ODM leader Raila Odinga will win the presidential contest, the firebrand unionist said Ruto will never be president until he serves in the opposition calling on close friends of the deputy president to cut down trees in Sugoi so that he does not commit suicide when he loses the presidential race

“Those who are close to William Ruto should cut down all the trees in Sugoi or else he will hang himself when the results are announced in August,” said Atwoli leaving President Uhuru Kenyatta in stitches.

Atwoli who has for years now watermarked himself as Ruto’s enemy number one further castigated the former Agriculture Minister for disrespecting him stating that he is old enough to have been his father.

He stated that the deputy president was born at a time when he was done with high school and was ready to be employed by the government.

“In 1966, I was finishing my Form Four and at that time we were full adults. After six months I was employed when he was only six months old,

“If I had met his mother, I would have been his father,” Atwoli stated amid uproar from the crowd.

The COTU Secretary-General has on many occasions prophesied doom and more often than not challenged the latter to willingly shelve his ambitions for later years.
