COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli’s younger wife Mary Kilobi has castigated a section of politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto for dragging her name into their fights with her husband.

In a tweet on Wednesday, February 9, the KTN News TV anchor specifically singled out former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rachid Echesa and Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa for zeroing in their political onslaught on her, in their attempts to hit back at her husband.

“It’s hilarious that some politicians, the likes of Rashid Echesa and Didmus Barasa have continuously made this Kilobi name inseparable with their manifesto in their rallies,” she said.

Kilobi, who is Atwoli’s younger wife further challenged the Tanga Tanga political wing to sell their agenda to the Kenyans urging them to keep her off in their campaigns stating that she is not running for any political seat.

“Kumbe hamna sera? Uza Sera wadau wachana na Kilobi. She’s not a politician neither do I have plans of contesting,” she said.

Kilobi’s remarks come just days after the firebrand unionist verbally abused the second in command in which he alleged that he would contemplate suicide after tasting defeat in the August 9, General Election.

The vocal unionist who was speaking during the rollout of the Universal Health Coverage program at Port Reitz Sub County Hospital in Mombasa said Ruto will never be president until he serves in the opposition calling on close friends of the deputy president to cut down trees in Sugoi so that he does not commit suicide when he loses the presidential race.

“Those who are close to William Ruto should cut down all the trees in Sugoi or else he will hang himself when the results are announced in August,” said Atwoli.
