Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s  Dorcas Gachagua has sensationally revealed that she almost ended her own life.

“Many years ago, when I was at UON, we had a common agreement among us. If you wanted a good wife, you go to Kenyatta University.

“This University gave me a great wife Pastor Dorcas Rigathi. I don’t know whether that is still true today,” Gachagua said.

Gachagua, reminisced how in the years 1987 boarded a bus to KU where she met the mother of his two sons.

“Back in the year 1987, I took bus number 45 to hang around here, looking around. We would go to KU and spend some time there. And as I walked around Ruwenzori hall, I saw a good girl, talked and sang a poem to her and she accepted my request,” he added.

He said he was happy the institute gave him a wife adding that for the 33 years he has been with Dorcas Gachagua, the second in command has never regretted it.

“I am happy that this University gave me a great wife. I have not been disappointed in the last 33 years, not a single day has she ever run away and she doesn’t have a single scratch,” he said.

Gachagua who was accompanied by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu and other leaders was received by KU vice chancellor Paul Wainaina.

This being the second graduation ceremony since the outbreak of COVID-19, the DP planted a tree at the institute before he proceeded with other assignments.
