Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Thursday, October 13, flew out of the country for the first time since he was sworn in.

The second in command will be in Kigali, Rwanda for the 2022 Africa young generation of innovators, champions, and leaders summit.

The former Mathira MP was accompanied by a host of leaders allied to President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza coalition.

Among those who accompanied Gachagua were Bomet Woman Rep Linet Chepkorir alias Toto, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, his Mugirango counterpart Sylvanus Osoro, and Kiambu Senator  Karungo wa Thang’wa.

Toto, who was once locked out of William Ruto’s official residence in Karen for not wearing official, was her first foreign trip since she was born.

The fifth YouthConnect Africa summit gives youths opportunities to meet their peers, exchange knowledge and come up with new ways of collaborating.

The event which is organized in partnership with the Rwandan Ministry of Youth and Culture has brought together more than 10,000 people from across the world.

However, it is not the first time Bomet Woman Rep is accompanying Gachagua on an official government trip.

On Friday, September 23, Gachagua also tagged Toto when he toured Kisumu during the 94th edition of the Schools Music Gala Awards together with Education CS George Magoha and other Kenya Kwanza leaders.

Toto, became an internet sensation in November 2021 after being blocked from attending a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) aspirant’s meeting at William Ruto’s official Karen residence.

The security officers told her she was “intruding into a leaders’ meeting way above her cut”.

Linet Chepkorir’s demeanor and casual dress would make her pass for a small girl.

Despite the humiliation, the IEBC declared declared Toto the Bomet Woman Rep in the August  9, General Election defeating political heavyweights.
