Political Analyst Herman Manyora believes ODM leader Raila Odinga is likely to team up with billionaire businessman and political financier Jimmy Wanjigi in the 2022 General Election.
According to Manyora, the billionaire is going to be Raila Odinga’s running mate in the highly anticipated 2022 presidential race.
Because Jimmy Wanjigi is a Kikuyu, Herman Manyora believes that he will be a valuable addition to Raila Odinga as he will bring with him the central Kenya vote.
“He comes from a community that is not just populous, but the most populous community,” he said.
The political analyst also explained that Jimmy Wanjigi has the financial muscle to contest alongside Raila Odinga.
Also, the fact that Jimmy Wanjigi has proved to be a smart political strategist and was courageous enough to swear in Raila as the people’s president.
“He has the perks, he is a billionaire. Jimmy Wanjigi is known to be a strategist. He has been called Mr. Fix it. In 2013, he almost single-handedly led a group of GEMA people who reversed Uhuru’s decision to back Mudavadi,” Herman Manyora explained.
The political analyst also foresees a scenario whereby DP William Ruto will settle on Musalia Mudavadi as his running mate other than getting one from the Mt Kenya region.
The prediction on Jimmy Wanjigi and Raila Odinga is a matter to watch since both of them have interests in contesting for the presidency under the ODM ticket.
Even though Raila Odinga has not directly declared that he will be contesting for the presidency, he has given enough hints and indications through his social media updates as well as pronouncements on political rallies
For Jimmy Wanjigi, it is a done deal; he wants to be on the ballot and will seek an ODM ticket.
“ I will be running for the ODM ticket and will be taking on Raila Odinga, and that will be my presidential ticket. As an ODM life member, I have what it takes to lead the party and the country into the future,” Jimmy Wanjigi declared earlier.
