Herman Manyora says Musalia, Wetangu’la might damp Ruto for Azimio

by Amos Khaemba

Political analyst Herman Manyora has predicted that the Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula will join the Azimio One Kenya coalition.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday 12, Manyora said that there is the possibility of Mudavadi and Wetang’ula teaming up with Uhuru and Raila ahead of the August elections.

“I have a feeling that Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang’ula will team up with Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta soon,” Manyora.

The sentiments by Manyora come after the Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka threw his weight behind Raila Odinga’s candidature.

Even after previously vowing not to support the ODM leader, the Wiper leader declared Raila Tosha during the first Azimio One Kenya campaign rally.

“I thought Raila will endorse me for the presidency this time around but out of a good heart, I will support him. Raila Tosha,” he said.

The former vice-president said that he was ready to campaign for Raila Odinga across the country.

Speaking earlier at KICC during the Azimio NDC, the former prime minister admitted that they had unresolved issues with the Wiper leader, but that was now a thing of the past.

“Kalonzo and I had some problems but we have discussed and shook hands. We have decided we will walk together.” Raila said.

Previous Mudavadi and Wetangula who worked with Raila under NASA bolted out of One Kenya Alliance saying that they were being coerced by President Uhuru to support the ODM leader.

Currently, Mudavadi and Wetang’ula have teamed up with DP Ruto under the Kenya Kwanza alliance.

The two Mulembe leaders last month blasted the ODM leader for not supporting a Luhya leader for presidency yet the community had supported his presidential bid previously.

“It is not time to lament but show direction. I want to tell you the truth. We from this region have helped others before and invested in them but they have not shown us gratitude,” Mudavadi said when he hosted Western opinion leaders.

What remains to be seen is whether Mudavadi and Wetang’ula will follow Kalonzo’s ‘stupidity’ and dump Ruto for Raila.
