Kiss FM presenter Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o has revealed that it will cost him KSh 50 Million to hold campaigns in Langata constituency.

In an interview on the blogger Robert Alai’s YouTube channel, The Audit, the aspiring member of parliament revealed that the amount will enable him to reach at least half of the voters in Langata constituency.

Phelix Odiwour, alias Jalang’o is targeting to reach out at 157,000 voters in Langata constituency, currently held by Jubilee party’s Nixon Korir.

“We are almost getting to KSh 50 Million. This is for things like 1000 T-shirts and merchandise in general. There are 157,000 voters in my constituency if you are to get to like 50% of that, it is crazy money,” Jalang’o said.

As an aspiring politician, Jalang’o says that he has fallen in the trap of cons, who create Whatsapp groups to fundraise for non-existent funerals.

“All the problems are directed to you, even small issues that they could solve themselves. That means it is money each and every day,”

After serving 5 years as an MP, Jalang’o will not have recovered the 50 million from his salary but hopes to change the lives of his constituents.

The radio presenter is determined to get to the ballot and has declared that he will leave the Kiss FM studios in February 2020.

While announcing his candidature early this year, Jalang’o showed determination to clinch the seat.

“I am going to be the next MP of Langata. I am campaigning for myself. I am very serious, I am the next MP of Langata. Mark this day,

“I don’t go for things I can’t get. And once I have I said it, start getting used to your future MP,” he said.

On July 15, the radio presenter registered as a life member of the ODM party.

He is set to battle for ODM nominations with Raila Odinga’s long-term ally, Silas Jakakimba who is also eyeing the Langata seat.
