In the last few weeks, content creator Joe Nyokabi has been trending after he released the hilarious ‘Assimio, harooo’ video clip.

In the video, Joe tried to re-create Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition party presidential running mate Martha Karua’s trademark salutation phrases.

Just like any other content, Joe was using the opportunity to grow the popularity of his brand bearing in mind that Azimio is a popular political brand.

On Friday, June 24, the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition party presidential running mate made the step of meeting the person mimicking her voice.

Martha Karua’s close associate Bonface Mwangi shared the photos of the two exchanging pleasantries.

“This morning incoming Deputy President of Kenya Martha Karua met with Joe who made the now-famous haroooo video. The Azimio manifesto has an agenda to turn work experience into certification. University of work experience will be certified and you will get a certificate.”Bonface Mwangi said.

The meeting led to Martha and Joe jointly recording the ‘Azimio, harooo’ remix to be used in the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition campaigns.

Mwangi in his post also alluded to the changing fortune for the young content creator after meeting Raila Odinga’s 2022 presidential running mate.

“As of this morning, Joe didn’t have a job and had rent arrears. He says he did the harooo TikTok video hoping to get 10 views but to his surprise, it went viral. He didn’t get any pay but his friends thought he had “made it!” Today, his life changed thanks to Martha Karua,” Boniface Mwangi added.

The Narc-Kenya leader also took to social media to appreciate Joe’s talent revealing that the two come from the same county, Kirinyaga.

“It was a pleasure meeting Joe Nyokabi, a young creative who is from my home county of Kirinyaga. Thank you Joe for giving us much-needed laughter and reminding us that indeed, Raila Odinga ni msarendo.” Martha Karua said in a Facebook post
