Johnson Muthama: President Uhuru designed Raila’s campaign slogan

UDA chairman Johnson Muthama has warned the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party against disrespecting Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has reiterated William Ruto’ssentiments that ODM leader is a deep state project because President Uhuru Kenyatta designed Raila’s campaign slogan.

Muthama who is also the chairman of the UDA party on Friday in a social media post on October 29, claimed that President Uhuru designed Raila’s ‘Azimio la Umoja camapign slogan’

The 2022 Machakos County gubernatorial aspirant also exuded confidence that Deputy President William Ruto will beat Raila Odinga by far in the 2022 presidential contest to succeed retiring President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has said that the ODM leader is a deep state project because President Uhuru Kenyatta designed Raila’s campaign slogan.

“Raila Odinga is purely a Deepstate Project. The ‘Azimio La Umoja’ (or is it Alliance for Change?) he is being assisted to craft by His Excellency the President is a true indication that he displaced William Ruto from his legally and rightful number two position,” Muthama said in a Tweet seen by Kivumbi.co.ke.

Raila who is yet to officially launch his presidential ambitions is expected to give his fifth stab at the presidency while William Ruto will be giving his first attempt at the same.

Muthama, a close ally of William Ruto said the former Prime Minister is past his sell-by-date and President Uhuru Kenyatta’s efforts to resuscitate the ODM leader’s expired brand will not yield results.

“But, let it be known to him that moving a monkey from forest A to Forest B does not transform it into a Gazelle. It remains unpalatable. Some habits die hard!! Raila Odinga is past sell-by-date no matter how much effort is being put to resuscitate his expired Brand,” he added.

Last month, the former legislator asked Raila to retire from active politics accusing him of being a selfish individual who failed to address the challenges the people of Kibra are currently facing despite being one of the longest-serving MPs of the constituency.

“Raila Odinga should just retire and pave way for William Ruto who has a plan to deal with such situations through his bottom-up economic model,” he said.
