Jubilee party resolves to kick out Deputy President William Ruto

In September 2022, President William Ruto appointed his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta as his peace envoy for the Great Lakes Region and the Horn of Africa.

Jubilee Party National Management Committee (NMC) has resolved to kick out Deputy President William Ruto.

In a meeting held on Monday, September 6, the NMC resolved to officially write a letter to the registrar of political parties to have Ruto’s name removed from Jubilee’s register.

Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju is set to write the letter to the registrar of political parties this week.

The plan to kick out Deputy President William Ruto has been hatched since he started supporting the UDA party.

“The political parties act is very clear, when you belong to one party, you can not promote the interests of another political party. You are deemed to have resigned from the first party,” said National Assembly majority leader Amos Kimunya.

The Kipipiri MP further accused Ruto of being a dishonest person, not adhering to the law and constitution.

“For a person in the level of deputy party leader, who is also the Deputy President of Kenya who took the bible and swore uphold the law, it is very unfortunate that he would continue living a lie,” he said.

However, Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju asked members not to give much attention on plans to kick out deputy president William Ruto.

“I would like to appeal to my brothers here who are asking the Deputy President to resign, please don’t waste your breathe, he will not resign. He is not that type of person, we know him. Let us concentrate on 2022,” Tuju said.

Amid calls to kick him out of Jubilee, William Ruto has already declared that he will be using UDA Party to contest for the 2022 Presidential elections.

“In UDA party, we already have 150 Mps before even the elections are held. This is the party we will use to create the government next year.
