William Ruto was caught on camera describing Uhuru as a drunkard- David Murathe

by

Jubilee party Vice-chair David Murathe has sensationally claimed that Deputy President William Ruto was caught on camera describing President Uhuru Kenyatta as a drunkard.

In a recent interview with one of the vernacular TV stations, Murathe who is one of the President’s most trusted and closest allies claimed that Ruto was heard disparaging Uhuru as a drunkard at the height of the 2017 re-election campaign.

According to the former Gatanga Member of Parliament, William Ruto made the damning remarks in his native language but was later relayed to President Uhuru by his intelligence agents.

“There is a day Ruto spoke in his native language and told his supporters to vote for Uhuru because as he drinks, I will be running the government,” Murathe claimed.

Murathe suggested the remarks have contributed to the deteriorating relationship between Ruto and his party leader Uhuru Kenyatta.

This comes barely days after DP Ruto- in an interview with Citizen TV- said he is considering to decamp the Jubilee party for United Democratic Alliance (UDA) because the ruling party is run and managed by drunkards.

In an explosive interview on Thursday night, the country’s second in command claimed that some jubilee party officials go to an extent that they even appear on national televisions drunk.

“(That’s) because the people who call shots at Jubilee are hardly sober. They appear on national television drunk. That is the level of impunity they have,” the DP said.

Kivumbi.co.ke understands that David Mutather ad Raphael Tuju have in the recent past not beeen hiing their contempt for William Ruto.

Murathe also clarified an accusation against him by Elgeyo Marakwet Kipchumba Murkomen that the Jubilee Party vice-chair was drinking alcohol during a Citizen TV interview in which they were both guests.

“I was very tired and had a glass of water and Murkomen alleged it was alcohol. They revert to insults when they are unable to debate and that is why I told him to join me in drinking,’’ he said as quoted by Kenyans.co.ke.
