Suna East MP Junet Mohammed has faulted a section of elected leaders from the opposition wing trooping to the government claiming they were looking for development.

Junet, a fierce critic of President William Ruto said he will not beg for development projects for his constituents adding that he will not wait for the president to visit his Suna constituency for development projects.

“Any government in place must construct roads in my constituency; I don’t have to beg for development,

“I don’t have to wait for the president to visit my constituency so that I can ask for development, if that is what it will take me to wait, I will wait,” Junet said.

Since the Supreme Court upheld William Ruto’s presidential win, a section of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition leaders have been trooping to rival Kenya Kwanza.

For instance, on Wednesday, November 23, more than 35 elected members of parliament from the Western Region held a breakfast meeting with the government side led by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

The leader’s majority of whom were from the opposition wing defended their move to meet Mudavadi saying their meeting was a strategy to discuss how to streamline development in the region.

“Let’s not be people who always politicize everything. Let’s work for our people because if you say that I am in Azimio and politics ended and now we are focusing on service delivery to our people. If I refuse to look for development you see, my people will suffer,” Butere MP Tindi Mwale said.
