Suna East MP Junet Mohammed has sensationally claimed that ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi wants to return to Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition party just days before the August 9, General Election.

This comes months after the former Sabatia MP dumped former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for the 2022 presidential election front runner William Ruto.

Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetang’ula were promised at least 30 percent state appointments if Deputy President William Ruto forms the next government as part of the offer that saw them dump the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition party.

However, speaking on Sunday, May 29, at a rally in Misikhu, Bungoma County Junet said that Mudavadi has sensed that it will be hard for them to deliver at least 70 percent of Luhya votes to Kenya Kwanza presidential flag bearer William Ruto.

He said Mudavadi is now making endless calls to the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition flag bearer to offer him the Chief Minister position that was offered to Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to support Raila Odinga’s fifth and last presidential attempt.

“Mudavadi has been calling Raila every time to get Kalonzo’s deal in Azimio,” Junet who is also the Azimio la Umoja –One Kenya coalition secretary-general said.

In January 2022, the ANC party leader launched his presidential bid at the Bomas of Kenya dashing his hopes of working with Raila in 2022 presidential

Speaking during the event, Mudavadi described Raila Odinga as a cunning politician who cannot be trusted.

“We can’t work with leaders who cannot be trusted. Those who you trust are at your own risk. For the avoidance of doubt Azimio la Umoja movement is not an option when it comes to the political coalition,” Mudavadi said.
