Kakamega Deputy Governors Asks Peter Salasya to marry lady who asked for his hand in marriage

Mumias East MP Peter Salasya on Tuesday, October 18, met a lady who had asked for his hand in marriage.

Last week, a woman identified as Lydia Ronald declared interest in being the first-time MP’s wife after it emerged that the legislator was single.

The smitten lady was seen holding a placard with the MP’s photo written ‘MP Peter Salasya Marry Me Please Mheshimiwa’.

Lydia described herself as a God-fearing, hardworking and humble woman who would make a perfect wife for the MP.

“I promise him that if chooses me to be his wife I won’t disappoint him,” Lydia was heard saying amid laughter from onlookers.

The legislator however failed to agree with Lydia’s request stating that he is currently focused on his work as a legislator.

“I know I have a lot of work in my Constituency at the moment which might not allow me to focus so much on marriage,” he said.

But Kakamega Deputy Governor Ayub Savula has asked the youthful legislator to marry the beautiful lady.

He said the people of Kakamega County and Mumias East constituency will lose hope in their leader and the DAP Party if he does not marry and settle down.

“My son Peter Salasya. Marry! Wacha hii mchezo. Oa! Tukiendelee hivi, people of Mumias East Kakamega county will lose faith in you and our party DAP Kenya. . Marry and settle down,” Savula said.

Savula’s comments were corroborated by TV personality Ali Manzu who advised the MP to consider taking in the application especially now that he has met the beautiful woman.

Salasya, became single in 2017 after he emerged last in the Mumias East parliamentary.

This was after he polled 254 votes emerging last in a contest that attracted nine aspirants.
