Kalonzo Musyoka: I miss Moses Wetang’ula. Musalia Mudavadi betrayed us

by Amos Khaemba

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has lifted the lid on the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) agreement that could have triggered the fallout with the ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi.

Speaking in Makueni County on Friday, January 28, Kalonzo revealed that the OKA principals had settled on him as the presidential candidate and Musalia Mudavadi as his running mate.

The Wiper leader said the choice of him being the OKA flagbearer could have triggered ANC leader Muadavadi to betray his OKA colleagues by teaming up with DP Ruto.

“My two brothers(Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula) left me and Gideon Moi and there is no problem with that,

“I wish them luck. I had been ready to give my brother Musalia Mudavadi the deputy president post. We had already talked with the others and come to an agreement,” Kalonzo revealed.

The Wiper leader also said both KANU leader Gideon Moi and Ford Kenya boss Moses Wetang’ula had no problem with the arrangement.

The former vice president also said in the arrangement, he was meant to be a one-term president then support Musalia Mudavadi for the presidency in the 2027 presidential election.

“And I want to be honest with you. I just wanted to fix Kenya and hand it over to the youth. I was ready for a five-year term. After five years, I would have supported (Musalia) Mudavadi openly,” Kalonzo added.

Kalonzo also termed the move by Wetang’ula to follow Mudavadi to Kenya Kwanza group as very fortunate.

“(Moses) Wetang’ula and I have come a long way, even if it becomes imperative that my brother Wetang’ula goes a separate way, it will be painful for me,” Kalonzo stated.

Musalia Muvadadi parted ways with Kalonzo Musyoka and Gideon Moi in dramatic fashion, where he invited DP Ruto at his ‘earthquake’ event, a move that made the latter storm out of the ANC meeting.
