The Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has given the clearest hint of working with the ODM leader Raila Odinga in the coming August 9, General Election.

Speaking in Kisii County on Thursday, February 17, during the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) rally Kalonzo said the team is ready for coalition talks with like-minded formations.

“I have made it clear that we are talking to President Uhuru Kenyatta. You may be thinking that he is going away but he is busy strengthening Jubilee,” Kalonzo said.

“Everybody knows the story of me and Raila, who doesn’t? 10 political years, We are talking to them, but I can clearly say those talks have not officially begun,” Kalonzo added.

In a clear indication that OKA will not join hands with the Kenya Kwanza Alliance led by Deputy President William Ruto, the Wiper leader said OKA will not form a coalition with corrupt leaders and tricksters.

“Tuko tayari kufanya mazungumzo na wenzetu wenye roho safi, wasio wafisadi. Wafisadi ndio wamesababisha kutokuwa na ajira,” Kalonzo said.

Loosely translated to: “We’re ready to negotiate with like-minded outfits who are not corrupt. The corrupt are the ones behind the massive unemployment facing Kenya”.

Political analysts have suggested that OKA will join hands with Raila Odinga to form a grand coalition to face off with the Kenya Kwanza alliance.

The former vice-president had on February 6, ruled out working with the ODM leader saying he has supported Raila long enough.

“You all know that I have helped all of them in the past, all those many years we have helped people, this time they need to declare ‘Kalonzo Tosha’,” Kalonzo said in Huruma.
