KANU boss Gideon Moi and Uhuru’s brother visits ODM leader Raila Odinga

KANU party chairperson and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi today paid a courtesy call to the Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga.

Moi who was accompanied by Uhuru’s brother Muhoho Kenyatta took to his official Twitter account with photos of his visit to Raila’s Nairobi home.

“Am deeply impressed by Raila Odinga’s quick and steady recovery; a clear indication of his resilience even in the face of adversity. We wish him good health, long life, and boundless joy as one of our country’s foremost patriots,’’ he said.

Moi did not disclose any other details of his visit but their meeting with Orange leader comes at a time politicians are jostling to form alliances and coalitions ahead of 2022.

Wiper Democratic Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Moses Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya) of Nasa recently announced a partnership deal with KANU chair Gideon Moi ahead of the 2022 General Election.

The four announced they would work together under a new outfit known as One Kenya Alliance.

In a recent address to the press in Nairobi, Gideon Moi, one of the pioneer founders of the alliance sought to allay fears their umbrella was built on quicksand saying they will do even more in the coming days.

Already there are speculations over a possible alliance between Raila Odinga and William Ruto Ruto are ongoing.

Kivumbi.co.ke understands that Odinga’s deputy party leader and Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya recently met Deputy President William Ruto raising speculations of an alliance between the two formidable leaders.

It is also understood Ruto has now held 5 secret meetings with at least 23 governors, with the talks being chaired by Turkana’s Josephat Nanok and the Former Agriculture CS, Mwangi Kiunjuri.

“About 20 are already on board and three are on their way to join us. They all yearn for a better Kenya where all our efforts will count,” Governor Nanok told The Star Newspaper.
