Karen Nyamu: Raila will go home no matter the running mate he picks

by Amos Khaemba

City lawyer and politician Karen Nyamu has sensationally claimed that Azimio-One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga will be defeated in the August polls irrespective of whoever he picks as his presidential running mate.

Taking to social media on Thursday, May 5, to comment on the running mate stalemate in the Azimio-One Kenya coalition, Nyamu said the ODM leader only needs to choose what time he should be declared the loser.

According to Nyamu who recently dropped out of the Nairobi senatorial race, if the former prime minister picks KANU boss Gideon Moi as his running mate, Deputy President William Ruto will be declared the winner even before elections.

Kalonzo claimed that apart from being Vice-president for late President Mwai Kibaki, he has been Raila’s running mate twice and therefore does not need to be interviewed.

“Don’t think Kenya is America, It’s impossible. That you are going to interview Kalonzo as Raila’s deputy? But it’s Kenyans who have said that Kalonzo has been the Vice President to late President Mwai Kibaki for five years, Kalonzo has been Raila Odinga’s running mate from 2013 and 2017, what kind of interview is this which you are going for?” Kalonzo said on Thursday, May 5.

Apart from the Wiper leader, other leaders angling to deputize Raila are; Martha Karua, Peter Kenneth, Peter Munya, Sabina Chege, and Charity Ngilu. The
