Karen residents complain of mugging, noise from William Ruto’s guests

The Karen Residents Association has written a letter complaining of Deputy President William Ruto’s guests who flock his official residence day in day out.

In the letter seen by Kivumbi, the residents are complaining of unrest caused by William Ruto’s guests.

They claim that cases of insecurity, mugging, noise and traffic snarl-up have increased along Karen road, where William Ruto’s official residence is located.

“We have received complaints of insecurity. noise and traffic gridlock attributed to entourages entering your official residence. Residents have complained of rising cases of mugging along the route conducted by aliens masquerading as visitors to your residence,” read part of the association’s letter to William Ruto.

It stated that what goes on around William Ruto’s residence is against the rules and regulations of the area.

“The association is highly alarmed by the ever-presence of suspicious persons roaming around the area against its rules on loiter’, We wish to notify you of rarnpant traffic gridlock as a result of visitors parking on the roadsides and wayleaves awaiting clearance to your residence,” they said.

In the letter sent to Ruto and the Inspector General of police, the Association asked William Ruto to look into the matter to restore peace in the posh neighborhood.

William Ruto has been meeting grassroots leaders from various areas in the country at his residence in a bid to win their 2022 votes.

There, William Ruto’s guests are treated to songs of praise, and an overview of the bottom-up economic model.

On his part, the Deputy President has maximized the meetings and also goes to meet supporters in campaign trails outside his Karen mansion.

He has depicted resilience in this strategy, having held more than 130 meetings in the month of October.
