Kenya’s voter numbers county by county 45 days to highly anticipated General Election

With 45 days to the August 9, General Election, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has published the number of voters in each county.

From the voter register that was gazette by the electoral agency, on Tuesday, June 21, only 16 counties out of the 47 have more than 500,000 registered voters.

Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga, United Democratic Alliance flag bearer William Ruto, and Root party of Kenya George Wajackoyah are likely to pitch tents in the counties with a high number of votes.

This comes even as Deputy President William Ruto and his bitter rival Raila Odinga have visited six of the regions with a high number of registered voters as the 2022 presidential fast approaches.

Kenya’s capital city Nairobi County has the highest number of voters 2, 415, 310 while Lamu County had the least with only 81,453 voters.

Kivumbi.co.ke has compiled a list of all the 47 counties with the exact number of voters as provided by the electoral body IEBC.
