Kiambu senator declines to pay fees for daughter he got with house-help

Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi is on the spot for failing to pay school fees for a teen daughter that he sired with his house-help.

His former house girl Winfred Wangui has accused Wamatangi of neglecting their daughter who he sired after he allegedly sexually assaulted her in 2006 in his home.

The minor who was born in 2007 has been invited to State House Girls’ High School but her mum has been unable to raise the required fees.

Kiambu Senator is accused of neglecting his fatherly duties, even after a children’s court ordered him to take care of the minor’s education and all school-related expenses.

Wangui claims the Kiambu Senator has been taking her in circles even after she provided him with the girl’s admission letter.

“The girl has received an admission letter to a good school but I cannot manage to raise the required money. Wamatangi, who is the father of the bright girl, blocked me and failed to respond to my text messages that I wrote to him reminding him of his role,” she told journalists.

Kiambu Senator is accused of neglecting his fatherly duties, even after a children’s court ordered him to take care of the minor’s education and all school-related expenses.

“School fees is paid termly and therefore it is not monthly maintenance. The defendant ( Wamatangi) shall pay school fees as per the school fees structure. He shall also pay school fees related expenses,” the judge ruled in 2019.

According to the court papers, Winfred Wangui was told to cater for housing, clothing, and miscellaneous expenses for the girl.

This drama comes just after another one facing Senate Speaker Keneth Lusaka who accepted he put his side lover the family way.

On June 21, a lady filed a lawsuit in court, accusing Lusaka of failing to take responsibility for his unborn baby.

The lady, who had been having an affair with Lusaka for years said that the speaker changed after the pregnancy news.

Theirs did not get so ugly, as the parties agreed to have an out-of-court negotiation on how to take care of the baby.
