Kimani Ngunjiri believes President Uhuru was drunk while attacking Ruto.

by Amos Khaemba

Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has sensationally claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta was not sober when he addressed Mt Kenya’s residents at Sagana State Lodge.

Speaking on the NTV morning program on Thursday, February 24, Ngunjiri said President Uhuru must have been drunk while attacking Deputy President William Ruto.

“I listened to the president and I don’t think he was sober. He must have used some alcoholic drink,” Ngunjiri said.

The Bahati MP wondered why the president could give conflicting statements on the reasons behind his friendship with the ODM leader.

“You can only be confused if you are not sober, but if you are sober, you can know that you talked on this, you cannot talk on this,” Ngunjiri added.

The sentiments by the Bahati lawmaker mirrors the sentiments of Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot on President Uhuru’s Sagana address.

Taking to his Twitter handle, on Wednesday, February 23, Cheruiyot indirectly insinuated that President Uhuru might have been drunk while addressing the highly charged Sagana 3 meeting.

“What is it with drunkards and telling pastors they will go to hell.? From villages to high streets, it’s a common phrase I have realized they all like…” Cheruiyot wrote on his Twitter handle.

Speaking at Sagana State Lodge where he met with the leaders from the Mt Kenya region, Uhuru had warned religious leaders against receiving the monies terming them as proceeds of corruption.

“Church leaders should stop lying to Kenyans because they have received stolen money that was meant to construct the Arror and Kimwarer dams,” the president said.

At the same time the Bahati lawmaker, a close ally of DP Ruto, said President Uhuru’s speech clearly shows that he has failed to steer the government in the right direction.

“He (President) has failed completely and I think he should go home and stop talking politics. If he said that Sh3 billion have been stolen, where was he??. Ngunjiri posed.
