Ngilu to Ruto: Stop exporting confusion to our trading partners

by Enock Ndayala
Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has blasted Deputy President William Ruto for continuously claiming that he made Uhuru the president.

Kitui governor Charity Ngilu slammed Deputy President William Ruto for purporting to apologise to ‘deported; Turkish national Harun Aydin on behalf of the Kenyan government.

Ngilu said moments after the DP said he had called the Turk and apologised while blaming some unamed people in government for frustrating foreign investors.

In a Tweet seen by Kivumbi.co.ke Governor Charity Ngilu wondered which government Ruto was representing having publicly admitted to having been technically pushed out of the same government.

“Alas! How many governments are there in Kenya? DP, which Government of Kenya are you apologizing on behalf?,

“The confusion you have been sowing in government and across the country and now you have begun exporting to our trading partners?” Ngilu posed.

While William Ruto maintains Harun Aydin, who was part of his aborted trip to Uganda, is an investor, Charity Ngilu suggested the Turkish national is a terrorist financier.

“The Government of Kenya arrested the alleged terror financier,” she added.

On Monday, August 9, Ruto revealed details of a private call he had with Turkish businessman Harun Aydin just hours after his controversial deportation.

“Just talked and apologized on behalf of the Government of Kenya to Aydin Harun, now in Turkey, who was politically arrested, tortured and falsely profiled as a ‘terrorist’ but later asked to fly out not to shame those involved,

“Political pettiness is expensive/ dangerous and will destroy our economy. Shame,” he added.

Charity Ngilu has been jumping at every opportunity to hit out at William Ruto in the recent past.

Just a week ago, she took a swipe at the deputy president after he claimed to have helped Aydin secure a KSh 15 billion loan from Equity bank to set up investment and create jobs in neighboring Uganda.

She accused Ruto of helping investors start multi-billion shillings businesses outside the country, and doing less in empowering youths in Kenyan.

“Kenya’s DP William Ruto claims, with a phone call, he helped a foreign investor get funding of KSh 15 billion from a Kenyan bank to set up investment and create jobs in Uganda,

“In Kenya, he is peddling wheelbarrows to our youth as a form of economic empowerment. Bottoms up indeed,” she said.
