Lawyer Ahmednasir: Raila Odinga’s KSh 6,000 promise to hustlers is clueless

Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has termed Raila Odinga’s promise to give hustlers Ksh 6,000 per month as a clueless decision.

According to the lawyer, Raila Odinga’s promise does not make sense given Kenya’s economic situation.

The lawyer argued that Raila has no realistic economic plan that can suit the expectations of rich businesspersons from the Mt Kenya Foundation that he met on September 28.

“KSh 6,000 per month for 10 million unemployed Kenyan Youth? This is why Raila has no ideas on how he will govern if he is installed by the Mt Kenya Forum and (President) Uhuru…come on people…smell the coffee, Hon Raila is clueless!” Lawyer Ahmednasir wrote in a tweet.

In a rally at Naivasha on Saturday, October 9, Raila Odinga promised that his government will be giving KSh 6,000 monthly stipend for unemployed youths.

“We want every Kenyan to get a job but for those who are unemployed, there will be a social welfare state through which they will get KSh 6,000 monthly stipend,” he said.

In his latest campaign strategy, the ODM leader has been targeting the youths by revealing the goodies that he has in stalk for them.

In order to appeal the youths more, Raila Odinga has been communicating to them in Sheng.

On Sunday, he took a swipe at the Jubilee administration for its empty promises to the youths.

“To the youth, I’ve heard and listened to you across the nation. Sita wallet (I will not let you) down. I promise a better Kenya for you.

Kutoka free laptops, stadiums, jobs… mlibebwa ndogo! Kuweni rada msibebwe mafala tena. (From free laptops, stadiums, jobs, you were underrated. Be careful not to be conned again.),” he wrote.

During his Azimio la Umoja tour in North Eastern, Raila also promised to provide an avenue where youths can speak to the government directly.
