Lawyer Miguna believes Raila is a coward who can never be president

by Enock Ndayala
Miguna, an ally-turned fierce critic of the opposition leader said Raila was only interested in being the Luo’s kingpin adding that his sixth stab at the presidency is already predictable.

Canada-based Kenyan lawyer Miguna Miguna has sensationally claimed that ODM leader Raila Odinga is too much of a coward to be Kenya’s president.

Speaking to KTN News on Wednesday, February 23, Miguna Miguna said the former prime minister will not take anyone to the so-called Canaan even if the Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka joins Azimio la Umoja.

“Unfortunately for these people, Kalonzo (Musyoka) is just like Raila, a coward. At least Raila is a coward pretending to be brave. Historically, people thought he was brave until 2017 when he exposed himself. He threw me in the lion’s den and then ran away to the lion,” Miguna said.

Miguna wondered how Raila will beat his main challengers Deputy President William Ruto without the support of the vote-rich Western region which he says appears to be aligning towards the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

While terming Raila as a system candidate and a project of the billionaires, the outspoken lawyer said President Uhuru Kenyatta’s endorsement of the ODM leader will do more harm than good to his State House bid.

He further observed that Raila had received immense support from Kenyans in the past elections only because he symbolized resistance against the status quo unlike now when he is part of the systm.

Miguna, however, noted that the current Raila would not secure the top seat- because he is perceived as a state project.

“The Raila you have now is not a transformative candidate. He is not an opposition candidate. He is not a candidate for change. He is a candidate to reinforce and fortify the status quo which the majority of the people of Kenya oppose and resist,” he said.

Miguna said these just hours after Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta publicly endorsed his handshake partner Raila Odinga for the top seat in the forthcoming General Election.
