With the just concluded United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party primaries a number of aspirants clinched tickets for the August General Election.
During the exercise, Deputy President William Ruto‘s party conducted nominations in 13 counties while issuing direct tickets in other counties.
In areas where the DP Ruto-led party will not field a gubernatorial candidate, the party is set to support candidates from other Kenya Kwanza coalition affiliate parties.
For instance, in the Western Region, UDA will be supporting the candidates from the Amani National Congress party and the Ford Kenya party.
In Kakamega County, DP Ruto’s party withdrew their candidate but instead, they will support Cleophas Malala of ANC.
